Fluoride for your kid’s teeth
The main difference is that I recommend fluoride the whole time teeth are forming. The dental lobby wants you to wait, skipping all of pregnancy and the first 6 months after birth. The other differences are that I tend to keep doses a little lower, and far more even. Like during infancy I suggest dosing by body weight. Also for regular adults, for preventing cavities and just in case pregnancy comes along. Good luck and please let me know what you think.

Clinical trials of fluoride
Glenn “Pits” (prenatal fluoride) This one gets ~no attention compared to the reports on reducing cavities, but biologically it is a much bigger effect and perhaps more likely to impress your OB that fluoride is an important nutrient. Your OB will know that teeth are formed in the same way as other organs, and that a good closure is key.

Glenn 1982 – this is the clinical trial of prenatal fluoride. Great teeth, of course, but also slightly better birth stats.

Aasenden and Peebles (infant fluoride) Compares doing nothing with giving newborns fluoride vitamins. (Doses slightly too high.) Also has the fluoridated water group.

Aasenden and Peebles (infant fluoride) Kids older (12 yrs up).
